Losing weight after pregnancy is a blistering topic. Now that your new baby is here, you would be wondering how to get rid of those extra pounds you packed on during your pregnancy. It's very perilous that you do get the weight off, because if you don't it has been associated with overweight.

Here below we have some fitness and weight loss tips for new moms that will eventually help them in the long run.

> Don't diet: Going on an official "diet" could disrupt your post-pregnancy weight loss goals. Feeling destitute of your favorite foods while you're already worried out by your new role as mom could actually cause you to gain weight. If you go back to eating healthy you will find that the weight comes off pretty naturally.

> Drink up: Drinking adequate amount of water during the day prevents you from getting dehydrated. It also fills you up so that you don't eat as much, and it is found that it may speed up your metabolism.

> Get some sleep: It may seem dreadful to get a full eight hours of sleep when you have a baby bidding you like clockwork during the night, but being sleep deprived could make it tougher for you to shed the baby weight. When you're tired, your body releases cortisol and other stress hormones that can promote weight gain. Hence, adequate sleep is very important for shedding the extra weight.

> Make playtime work: Devouring a newborn can be prodigious, which can easily make losing weight after baby feel like total overload. Join a fitness group to make the most of your child's playdates, or exercise during naptime using an in-home program, when it's too tough to leave the house.

Keep the above tips in mind as they are really helpful to lose weight after gaining post pregnancy weight.
