How to Reduce Your Carb Intake Even if You are Vegetarian

It is time that we focus on our health and body. Most of us are trying to lose weight and in the meantime are unware of our eating habits. Well, it is important that we reduce our carb intake to sustain a healthy body. Low-carb diets are progressively popular now a days. Many find that this type of diet can help with weight loss and provide other health benefits. Traditionally, low-carb diets have relied heavily on meats, but there are plenty of plant-based options.

Many of these foods are also high in protein and fat but low in carb. Try to consume them on a regular basis to cut down your carb intake.

>Soy: Foods like tofu and tempeh are high in protein and fat, but low in carbs. This makes them acceptable on a low-carb vegetarian/vegan diet.

>Legumes: Some legumes, including green beans, chick peas and others.

>Chia seeds: Most of the carbs in chia seeds are fiber, so almost all of the usable calories in them come from protein and fat.
