Regular visits to your dentist help in keeping your oral health in good shape. Dentists recommend that you should schedule an appointment every year. But apart from these annual visits, there are some situations where you really need to see the dentist immediately.

You should make an appointment with the dentist when -

1. You have swollen, bleeding or painful gums. Your dentist will be able to find out the cause and help you with the pain. This could be a sign of something more serious.

2. Persistent bad breath can be caused by other underlying conditions. So if you can't get rid of the foul breath, go see your dentist.

3. Tooth pain or teeth falling out may be linked with Calcium deficiency and Osteoporosis. So if your pearly whites hurt or seem to be getting loose, have them checked out immediately.

4. We can often feel cracks or chips in our teeth. If you can feel something with your tongue, go and have it checked out.
