CBSE Makes Physical Education Compulsory for Classes 1-8.

It is now out there that ‘Physical Education’ is mandatory for Class 1 to 8 in CBSE schools from April. The classes on Physical Education for one to eight will start from the academic session in April 2019.

All the CBSE-affiliated school will now have one class every day for Health and Physical Education and these obligatory classes will start from the upcoming academic session which will start in April 2019. The main focus of the Health and Physical Education (HPE) classes has to be on sports, games, and outdoor activities.

CBSE will issue the studied and updated transactional policies, detailed guidelines, and methodology for directing the HPE program to students on the official website shortly.

“The board has decided to implement Health and Physical Education (HPE) program for Classes one to eight w.e.f. session 2019-20 onwards, with the aim of holistic development of the child, leading to a well-balanced in all walks of life,” read the official notification from CBSE about the new curriculum.

Well, we are really happy that the education system is now becoming more stable and incline towards the betterment of a child’s physical and mental stability.
