Have you ever wondered what is the difference between white and brown eggs?
You must have noticed that brown eggs are often more expensive than white eggs. Is it because they are tastier? Or is it because they are more nutritious?
The truth is neither! In fact there is no difference between nutrition or taste of the two varieties. The real reason why some eggs are white and some eggs are brown lies in the hens that laid those eggs. Hens with white feathers and white earlobes lay white eggs. Hens with brown earlobes will lay brown eggs.
So why are brown eggs more expensive?
This is because the brown hens are bigger in size and weight. So they need more space and food. So the cost of production of brown eggs is a little higher and hence you are required to pay more for the brown eggs.
