It is that time of the year when children all over the country go through a lot of stress. This is stress caused by annual exams! No matter which class your child goes to, she needs a lot of strength and energy to face this time. Exams cause both physical and mental stress and exhaustion. So your child needs food that helps in optimizing brain activity and provides ample nourishment.
It is your duty to provide your child a diet that is rich in vitamins, minerals, protein and anti-oxidants. Their food should also provide a steady stream of calories without becoming too heavy or too fatty. So give them a diet that comprises the following:
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
- Eggs, Chicken or Fish
- Spices like Cinnamon and Turmeric
- Whole grains
- Nuts and seeds
A diet rich in these items will provide them all the nourishment they need. Fast food and fried fatty foods are best avoided in this period, especially because it would be very inconvenient to fall sick during exams!
