The 30 Day Plank Challenge
Doing a plank for the first time can be a challenge in itself. Raising your whole body on feet and forearms, stretched out straight like a plank is great for the core. This exercise engages all core muscles, including those that are not seen in the mirror! This is a great exercise for improving core strength and fitness.
The challenge is to train yourself to hold the plank position for 3 minutes or more. On day 1, you start the challenge with a 15 second plank, slowly improving your time. On day 30, you should be able to hold the plank position for at least 3 minutes.
Tip: Try doing the plank with a song playing in the background. Push yourself everyday to do a little more.
