Jiya Thakur has won the trophy of Dance India Dance Lil Masters this year and banked 5 lakhs as the prize amount. DID Li'L Masters clinched on June 17 with Hyderabad girl Jiya Thakur aka 'Chotti Madhuri' sauntered away with the coveted trophy. Jiya defeated finalists Urva Bhaskar and Tamman Gamnu to win the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 5 Lakh.
Speaking about her big win, Jiya, in a private chat with a leading media channel, shared, “I was super excited when my name was announced and I started crying out of joy. While all the finalists were really good, I was confident I would win because that was the goal I set at the start of the competition.”
The nine-year-old Jiya has been drilling for the last four years and she relishes all dance forms. “Be it Hip-Hop, Classical, Freestyle, I can do everything but I still need to learn a lot in classical dance forms,” she said.
Jiya further shared that she formed a great bond with judges and she adores Farah Khan. “She was really sweet and pushed me to do better. She was rooting for my win and I am so happy I could make her proud,” said Jiya. As for her skipper Vaishnavi, the little kid added, “She was like an elder sister and we really enjoyed ourselves together. She would get me chocolates every day and I will miss performing with her a lot.”
