Baba Ramdev has now covered the tech industry too under his franchise Patanjali. Patanjali was believed to be an FMCG company that had grown at an astounding rate over the last few years. But as of today, Patanjali has made it clear that it wants to be so much more.
Yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda group is back in media eye as it unconfined the ‘swadeshi’ alike of WhatsApp messaging app, called ‘Kimbho’. The news was confirmed by Patanjali’s representative SK Tijarawala, who took to his Twitter handle to declare the news of the messaging app. With the tagline ‘Ab Bharat Bolega (Now India will speak)’, the app had assured to ‘give competition’ to WhatsApp and was hyped as “our own #Swadeshimessagingplatform” that could be downloaded directly from Google’s Play store.
According to the description of the application, the app has "dozens of amazing features to share Text, Audio, Photos, Videos, Stickers, Quickies, Location, GIF, Doodle and more." Kimbho claims to use advanced socket technology for instant, real-time messaging. According to the company, the messages are end-to-end encrypted by AES. The description of the application claims that no data is saved on their servers or cloud.
The new app, Kimbho is endorsed as a "swadeshi messaging platform" that will compete with the market leader in the respective segment, WhatsApp.
