Dogs are the best companions to keep you busy and happy. However, it is important that you take an extra care to keep your dog fit and healthy in your company. You probably want to share all your tasty people food with your pup. After all, who can resist those puppy-dog eyes begging for a bit? But, there are some food items that are not good for your dog’s health.

Here we have 5 food items you should not give to your pet dog:

>Chocolate: At the top of the list of bad foods for dogs is the one you have perhaps heard of most often i.e. Chocolates. Theobromine in chocolates is not harmful to humans, but it’s the toxic part of chocolate for dogs.

>Coffee: Some dogs like coffee and people think it's adorable to allow their dog to finish the last inch of a cold Starbucks. But caffeine, whether in coffee or soda, can be dangerous for a canine and can damage their body progression.

>Coconut and coconut products: Coconut products are the fitness trendsetters, but they're prospective to cause an upset stomach and diarrhea if you give your dog a large amount of coconut oil, milk, water, or flesh.

>Garlic and Onions: This combo of foods doesn’t just give you bad breath. These spicy ingredients are bad news for dogs. They can actually destroy a dog’s red blood cells, leading to anemia.

>Sugary foods: Sugary food is not good for humans, and it’s not good for dogs also. Sugary foods can lead to similar problems for dogs as it does for humans. Obesity, dental health issues, and diabetes can result from overeating foods that have high sugar content.
