Diabetes is a disease which can be a reality check to the fondness of food that you might have from the beginning till now. Diabetes can be a deadly disease and it is important that we make some efforts to keep a check on our insulin count to be normal on a regular basis. How can you tell if you have diabetes? Most early symptoms are from higher-than-normal levels of glucose, a kind of sugar, in your blood.

Here we have 5 signs that can give you an idea that you may be a diabetic.

Hunger and fatigue. Your body converts the food you eat into glucose that your cells use for energy. But your cells need insulin to bring the glucose in. If your body doesn't make enough or any insulin, the glucose can't get into them and you have no energy. This can make you more hungry and tired than usual. If you are diabetic, hunger and fatigue is the most common symptom you can check on with.

Peeing more often and being thirstier: The average person usually has to pee between four and seven times in 24 hours, but people with diabetes may go a lot more. So if you peeing more regular than normal then it could be a symptom of diabetes that you might be alluding to.

Dry mouth and itchy skin: Since your body is using fluids to make pee, there's less moisture for other things. You could get dehydrated, and your mouth may feel dry. Dry skin can make you itchy. So keep a count of this symptom in a regular interval.

Blurred vision: Changing fluid levels in your body could make the lenses in your eyes swell up. They change shape and lose their ability to focus. So if you are having a blurred vision that could be a sign of being a diabetic patient.

Slow healing: If you are a diabetic patient or having diabetes, your cuts will not heal as normal. The immune system and the processes that help the body heal don't work so well when your sugar levels are high.

So, above 5 signs are well enough to give you an idea of whether you may be diabetic or not.
