The moon is set to present us with a rare view this month. The rare celestial event we are about to witness occurs only once in 150 years. This event is actually a beautiful amalgamation of 3 celestial events.
On 31st Januray 2018, the moon will be putting on quite a show!
It will be a full moon, and closest to earth in its orbit. This is what will make the moon super sized to view.
The second rarity is that this will be a 2nd full moon in the same month - this rare event occurs once every 2.5 years. This is why it is called a blue moon or blue blood moon.
The third rare event is that there will also be a total lunar eclipse on the 31st January. You will be happy to know that this lunar eclipse will be well visible in Asia.
These 3 rare events will make the moon of 31st January a very special and unique one!
