Kaabil is all set to become the first Bollywood film that will have an official remake in Hollywood!
Fox Studios has approached Hrithik Roshan via Thomas Jegeus, who is the President of Fox International Productions. Apparently, the big Hollywood studio considers Kaabil to be an entertainer with huge potential. They are interested in buying rights to the film and remaking it for the American and international audience.
This is not the first time the Roshans are dealing with Fox. Some time back the Roshans had purchased from Fox the rights to remake Knight and Day - the result was Bang Bang with Hrithik and Katrina.
Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan have not yet taken any decision regarding the sale of rights to remake Kaabil. But when questioned about it, Rakesh Roshan said, "The screenplay was hard-hitting, and the drama, gripping. It would make for a wonderful Hollywood adaptation, given that it has all the necessary emotions. It struck gold at the box-office because it was about a visually-impaired lover seeking revenge."
