Colouring your hair is so in today. Hair colour is no longer restricted to mature adultswith greying hair. In fact, youngsters today tend to colour their hair more than the oldies. Are you still laden with plain dark hair because you don't want to treat your hair with chemicals? Firstly, you are smart to do that because these chemicals can damage your hair over prolonged use. But hey, you could still have sexy highlights in your hair by using natural ingredients at home!

Tips to Lighten Hair Naturally at Home

1. Cinammon Paste: Make a paste of milk, cinnamon powder and lemon juice. Put aside. Apply a lyer of milk to your hair and wash with shampoo after 10 minutes. Remove all tangles. Now apply this paste over sections that you want lightened. Wait for your hair (and the paste) to dry completely. Now rinse and find yourself some lightened hair! Some people may require 3-4 treatments before they see lovely highlights.

2. Honey-Vinegar-Olive Oil-Cardamom: Make a mixture of everything and apply to damp washed hair. Cover with a shower cap and leave overnight. Wake up to lightened hair!

3. Tea: Steep a teabag for 10 minutes in boiled water. Rinse your hair with the tea and leave for 10-15 minutes. Your hair will turn glossy and will lighten over periodic use.

4. Henna: Everyone in india knows how to colour hair using henna. If you don't like the orange hair look, make it go red by adding other ingredients to your henna. Tea, sugar, oil, eggs, reetha, amla, katha etc are traditionally added to henna hair packs for healthy and glossy coloured hair.
