We conjure up an image of a person jogging in the park or doing yoga whenever we think of how to beat stress. Everyday stress is a big problem in modern lives, especially in urban life. Physical activity like running, yoga, dancing etc do help in beating stress and should be an integral part of everybody's daily routine. But there is another way to beat stress, and it is to be creative.
Getting arty is a big stress buster. Whether you get down to painting or sculpting, or indulge in any other form of art, you end up feeling good and forget about the daily tensions in your life. This is why our parents encouraged us to have a creative hobby!
The best way to get started is to see what other people in your city are doing. Identify things that interest you and search them in your city. Is there an art exhibition somewhere, or is there a theatre group in your city? Once you have done a little exploring, you will have a better idea of the various avenues of art. If required, join a beginners class to get started. This will definitely be the most rewarding and stress-busting activity that you do every day!
