Working women usually don't spend enough time on themselves because there are too many people and things calling for their attention all the time. No wonder, they are a tired breed, with no energy left at the end of the day. But did you know that little changes to your morning meals can change this situation and provide energy that lasts throughout the day?

1. Get a punch of lemon as soon as you wake up. Just squeeze the juice of a lemon into a glass of cold water and gulp it down soon after waking up. It is advisable to drink this concoction at least every 2 hours. This citrus drink provides Vitamin C which is essential for cleansing the body and increasing energy levels by keeping you well hydrated.

2. Go whole as you cereal up! Marketing companies will have you bealiving that the breakfast cereal is the best thing invented by mankind, but it isn't. Most cereals have no fibre and are just sugar coated lumps of refined carbs. If you still insist on cereal, choose it wisely. Look for a box that says "Whole".

3. Kick in a little Cinnamon into your meals. Adding a little dash of this spice to your meals helps by slowing down the rate at which sugars are released into the blood stream by 35% so you shall feel energised long after consuming that meal!

4. Don't ignore the Protein. Proteins also release energy slowly into the body, thereby keeping you feeling fuller for longer hours. Eggs are the easiest and most loved protein source at breakfast, but you can choose whatever pleases you!
