Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore composed our national anthem Jana Gana Mana and sung for the first time at the Calcutta session of the Indian National Congress on December 27, 1911.

Initially Netaji Subash Chandra Bose's Indian National Army adopted Jana Gana Mana as the National Anthem and in 1946 adopted by our father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi before it became the national anthem of Republic India after the secularism of 'Vande Mataram' was doubted by by Muslims, Christians, Parsis, Sikhs, Arya Samajis and others who opposed idol worship.

It still fires the patriotism in us after 100 years. Here we leave you the original song sung by Rabindranath Tagore.
