The Slumdog Millionaire actress Frieda Pinto is all set to dazzle the screens once more in her upcoming Hollywood flick. Frieda is the first Indian actress to have bagged a Woody Allen film, and it seems that the film is almost ready. So Frieda and the rest of the team is making an appearance at the International Cannes Film Festival this year. Frieda will walk down the red carpet at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival along with the cast/director of You Will Meet A Tall Dark stranger.
On the other hand, the most famous Indian celebrity at Cannes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is also making an appearance at the festival. Ash will be making her entry along with hubby Abhishek and director Mani Ratnam. Rumour has it that the trio are showcasing their film Raavan at the Official India Pavilion at the Cannes.
So two of the most famous Indian faces will make an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival this year, making it very interesting for the media and the shutterbugs. Yes, the competition to look the best puts an enormous pressure on the celebrities and our two ladies will be vying for the media's attention. It will be a battle worth witnessing, as both the ladies will be dressed to kill.
You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger has been shot in London and sounds like a typical Woody Alle movie. It is expected to be whacky, fun, weird and romantic. The film features actor Anupam Kher as the father of the character played by Frieda Pinto. Reports suggest that Hollywood actors Sir Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts and Anna Friel are also a part of the project.
If Ash is a regular at the Cannes, Frieda Pinto is is no novice either. After the roaring success of her debut film Slumdog Millionaire, Frieda had made an appearance at the Cannes last year, dressed in a lovely Western gown. Her attire for the evening got Frieda a lot of flak from the media at home. The issue was, why did Frieda not wear a traditional Indian sari at the international film festival. Frieda made her escape from the controversy with the excuse of being too young for a sari. Will will this excuse hold water any more? Will Frieda wear a Sari this year, or is she still too young to wear one?
Who will woo the spectators and the media this year at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival in France? Will the lovely Ash walk away with all the glory, or will the younger (and more famous) Frieda captivate everyone with her grace and charm? What do you think?
