Chaiyya Chaiyya from Dil Se is one of the most popular Bollywood dance tracks. This song was made immortal by the soulful voice of Sukhwinder and the groovy jhatkas of Shahrukh Khan and Malaika Arora Khan. Choreographed by Farah Khan, Chaiyya Chaiyya made overnight stars of all the people associated with it. So much so, that Malaika is still called the Chaiyya Chaiyya girl.
Now the Chaiyya Chaiyya gal is all set to recreate her magic with brother in law Salman Khan. Salman and Malaika will be seen grooving to an earthy dance number in Debanngg, to be choreographed by Farah Khan again. Debangg, is an Arbaaz Khan production that will bring together the hottest "devar-bhabhi" jodi in town.
The song that brings together Salman and Malaika is Munni badnaam hui darling tere liye and has been composed by Lalit Pandit. Producer Arbaaz says that "Munni" is a very earthy track, a little like Beedi Jalaile from Omkara. Apparently, Malaika will be playing a dancer who comes to regale the men with her moves, while Salman joins in for the fun. Though Arbaaz is producing the film, he won't be appearing in this song. He is expected to play an important part in the film though!
Let's see what this devar-bhabhi jodi comes out with. It would be interesting to see if Salman Khan can create the same chemistry with Malaika that Shahrukh did decades ago.
