This is the punchline for the big !dea of the campaign when !dea cellular launched itself in Mumbai. But it appears that the idea wasn’t much appreciated by the Shiv Sena.
After MNS Chief Raj Thackeray's attack on veteran actress and political figure, Jaya Bachchan, now the Shiv Sena has shifted its target to the Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan!
Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray says, "Shah Rukh says he is a Dilliwala. If you are from Delhi, then why have you come to Maharashtra”.
“You come to Maharashtra to earn fame and wealth but once you have had your fill, then you will evoke the name of the region from where you came from. And Marathi people are expected not to utter a word in their own state," Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece addes.
Mumbai is the city of dreams! It is the One city of India that welcomes everyone with open arms, whoever comes to it with dreams in his eyes and hopes in his heart. People, who settle in Mumbai once, don’t wish to leave the city… no matter where their origin is and in spite of all the drawbacks of a ‘big city’ that they may list!
But is it possible to break all terms with your parental home after marriage? Then why should we expect all the public figures to break their allies with their homeland?
Mumbaikars have enough reason to be proud of their land. It’s high time they start taking pride in the power of their homeland to make millions of dreams come true!
