The role of water in our life goes much beyond squishing our thirst... and no, I am not talking about washing cleaning or taking pleasure baths)!

Water gives to your skin, what no other cream, lotion or facial can give -- a wonderful, naturally soft, smooth and glowing skin! Also, water intake prevents dehydration, serves as a natural cleanser for the body by flushing out toxins and impurities, helps in healing, removing scars and makes you look younger!

Sounds cool, doesnt it? A very cheep and easy way to keep healthy and beautiful

But you wont get all this by simply gulping a few glasses of water every day!

You first need to determine the amount of water your body needs, and then, make it a part of your daily diet! Generally, it is recommended that you must consume at about 12 to 15 glasses of water everyday (and thats not too much)!

Now that you have determined the amount, you need to increase your intake. Obviously, you cannot take it as a one-time dose! Then, how do you weave in your new diet in your routine?

Carry water with you wherever you go in a bottle or something. When it is with you, you are bound to have it! Soon, it will become a habit to drink some water every now and then.

Whenever, wherever you sit down for a long time, like at your workstation or while watching your favourite movie, keep a glass or cup of water besides you. It wont be surprising if you start feeling the need to refill it often!

Water does not always have to be a one gulp affair. This, we do, when we are feeling thirsty. At other times, you can simply sit with a glass full and keep sipping from it from time to time. (Warning: This may be actually turn out to be addictive after a while!)

You may also add some lime to water, which will add flavour and make your sipping more enjoyable!

If you are already bored of drinking water, you can try out a few alternatives:

Eat lots of fruits, especially fruits like watermelon, melon, pineapple and the like, which are also rich sources of water. Vegetables like tomato, too, have very high water content. Gobble some with your salad everyday!

And before you know it, water will become a part of your daily diet and your bodys best friend!
