NAIL Them Down

Sometimes even after months of care, filing, trimming, shaping and polishing your nails fail to look as stunningly beautiful as those flaunted by Kareena or Sushmita

This is because your finger or toenails might be having ridges or wrinkles. Thats why they remain uneven, in spite of the hard-work you put in!

There are many things in which you can solve this problem. First of all, you need to determine if the ridges in your nails have a medical cause, such as a kidney or skin disorder, an iron deficiency, a possible infection like the flu, or a vitamin B deficiency.

Nail ridges can even be a sign of the onset of arthritis. Consult a physician if you feel the wrinkles in your nails may be caused by any of these conditions.

If it is not because of a medical problem, do the following:
Start eating a balanced diet that includes plenty of protein and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Drink at least eight glasses of water every day.
Take a comprehensive nutritional supplement, if you feel you are not taking in enough of the recommended essential vitamins and minerals.

Doctors say that nails, to a large extent, are a reflection of ones health and personal hygiene!
