Oh! Those Smoky Eyes! How sexy they look!

Yearning for those smoky eyes? They are really not that difficult to get! The key to the perfect smoky eye look is proper blending. You just need to make sure that colours are blended together flawlessly. Also, its important to pair light base colours with rich dark shades.

Take the following simple steps to a mesmerizing, smoky eye look

Apply eyeliner
If youre going for a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye, apply liner in one of those colours above the upper lash line, drawing line thicker in the middle of eye. If you are opting for a jewel-toned eye (violet makes a gorgeous smoky eye), line eyes with a purple, blue or deep green liner.

Blend in colour on bottom lashes
For colour on the bottom, youll need a lighter shade of eyeliner. The idea is to "smudge it." You can also apply a bit of shadow to get the full smudge effect.

Apply light base colour
Again, the key is to a smoky eye is pairing a lighter base with the darker hue. Sweep a light, shimmering shadow over the lids to your browbone.

Blend in darker colour, but keep dark colour below the crease
Now that you have the base and eyeliner on, its time to get the smoky effect. You need a darker eyeshadow shade. Using an eyeshadow brush, blend in colour starting at your lash line and blending up. Make sure to blend colour into the lash line so that the eyeliner disappears. Stop the deep colour at crease.

Finish with several coats of volumizing mascara!

Wait. The look is not complete yet! There are certain other things that you need to take care of, for that perfect dreamy look!

Keep lips nude!
When applying strong makeup, (like smoky eyes or red lips) put the focus on either eyes or lips, never both. Or you might end up looking like a confused horror movie!

Now you are ready and it just took 5 minutes! Wow! That was quick!
