This video made him very popular as the "chocolate boy" kind of kid. His filmi debut with Ishq Vishq was very successful and strengthened his position as a "cute" hero who could act. Today after having worked in almost 20 films, Shahid is a name to reckon. He is definitely in the Top 5 league and is one of the very few actors who can deliver a solo hit. After being dumped by Kareena Kapoor, with whom he shared a 5 year long committed relationship, Shahid seems to enjoy his freedom. His single status was threatened when he was linked with Amrita Rao. Next followed a romance with tennis star Sania Mirza. Nothing tangible came out of these two romances and our loverboy moved on to Vidya Balan, his co-star in Kismat Konnection. The latest alleged romance in Shahid's life is with Anushka Sharma, the RNBDJ girl. Anushka is also Shahid's co-star in Chance Pe Dance.

It is a little strange that Shahid has been linked with each of his co-stars since his break up with Bebo. It is possible that all of these alleged romance stories may not be true, but a few must be. Can there be smoke without fire? It seems that Akshay has finally found someone of his match. The Khiladi has been toppled from his decade long position of the Bollywood Casanova by this young actor.
