If initial reports are to be believed, then the movie “Singh Is Kingg” has taken a phenomenal opening worldwide and has broken all box office records on the first day of its release. The movie has been released across 1800 screens worldwide and reports suggest that it has even surpassed the initial collections of the super duper hit of last year “Om Shanti Om”.

For Akshay Kumar it comes as a vindication, since his last film with the Yash Raj banner’s “Tashan” had flopped. Though the blame could be shared evenly by Saif, Bebo and Akshay for the fate of the film, distributors who are accustomed to the stud Kumar giving a hit every time could not digest this flop from the superstar.

Does this mean that SRK has now been replaced as the King Of Bollywood by Akshay Kumar? If the Badshah had his hits last year, the King is back again with a vengeance. In fact reports are suggesting that Singh Is Kingg will rewrite Box Office history. But all the super hit movies that Akshay has delivered in the last two years are more or less similar in content. He has become the Bollywood comedy specialist and it is becoming kind of repetitive now. After all how long can he sustain the audience’s interest with his Punjabi comedy act?

But fans of Khiladi Kumar need not worry. The Superstar has already signed a couple of movies that will be based on action and stunts. An out-and-out action movie is what Akshay now needs to keep his fans hooked and to add many more. He also needs a break from his very successful pairing the beautiful and sexy Katrina Kaif.

On the other side, SRK has been seen experimenting a lot in his choice of movies. He has two major released lined up for this year, “Billo Barber” and “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”. Like always both his films are expected to be super duper hits.
