By now everyone knows what kind of Dostana the film is about! But what is remarkable about the film is that in spite of dealing with a serious issue like ‘gay relationships’, it is not serious cinema.
Neither does it make a laughing stock out of men with unisexual orientation, as in typical slapstick comedies. Dostana is entertaining, funny and romantic just as any other Dharma Production.
Unisexual relations have seldom been portrayed in such a light - simple, funny and non-issue-like!

Karan Johar’s movies are usually all about big sets, big money, relationships, romance and the works. There have been some aberrations of course. But on the whole, this is more like Karan’s forte.
