Shahid Kapoor and lovely Anushka Sharma have both been signed for a second innings with the Yash Raj camp. We all know that Anushka made her Bollywood debut with the same production house last year opposite King Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Shahid is also working on a Yash Raj film opposite Rani Mukherjee.

The title of the film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, speaks of a couple made in heaven, hawle hawle falling in love with each other. Though, in reality this unique on screen jodi of Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma took quite a lot of time and effort.
Owing to the unusual jodi that the film talks about, it was not easy to cast like other Yash Chopra productions, where the cast is decided before the story is scripted!

True there was not much hype for the movie despite some very good publicity (Seemingly Yash Raj have learnt from their previous mistakes of keeping their films under wraps!), and there were many reasons for that. First of all Yash Raj are no longer a force to reckon with, as they were in the past. Secondly the director Parmeet Sethi is new and does not have any hits to his credit, and also the fact that the star cast despite the dew fresh jodi of Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, did not look very exciting, nor did the concept of conning and making quick bucks a fresh one in Bollywood.

Rajeev Masand has given 2 stars only to RNBDJ. But who cares? Don't forget, most critics had written off films like Swades and Chak De India with a mere 1 or 2 stars. In fact, Rajeev Masand had given 0 (ZERO) stars to Don. And you know what a great movie (great success at box office as well) Don was! So just forget about the critics. After all, they get paid to CRITICISE!!!
