“Sexual deprivation can lead one into complicated situations.”

This is the basic premise of Tabu’s upcoming film. If you have been wanting to see Tabu & Amitabh Bachchan together again after their exciting chemistry in Cheeni Kum, this one is for you! AB and Tabu will be seen playing Emperor Asoka and his much younger, third wife Queen Tishyarakshita.

The Legend of Kunal is being made by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. In case you don’t know this man, he’s the who made Parinda and the famous tele-series Chankaya. Once again, Tabu is being paired with a much older actor. But this time, the story requires this as Tabu plays a wife who is much younger than her husband.

Arjun Rampal has been roped in to play “Kunal”, the emperor’s son. Arjun is surely going places these days. I suppose his “wooden face” days are seriously over! Amrita Rao will play “Kunal’s” young and innocent wife, “Kanchanmala”.

The film revolves around the theme of unfulfilled sexual desires of Tabu and the resultant sexual tension she shares with her step son, Kunal. While Tabu’s character represents “Trishna” or desire, Amrita’s character represents purity and innocence. The film will have a lot of erotically charged scenes between Tabu and Rampal, while Amitabh and Amrita look on as mute spectators!

Dr. Dwivedi is known to have a special interest in history and its unexplored characters. This film will be a great treat for people who share similar interests as Dr. Dwivedi is known to do his homework well before starting a project! Even if history does not excite you, this movie will still manage to attract you because of the great performers it will bring together. Tabu, Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal and Amrita Rao – These are all names to reckon today. No wonder, fans will be waiting to catch this one!
