"Ta Ra Rum Pum... Don't Worry, Be Happy!"

Ta Ra Rum Pum... sounds like a music flicker... looks like the live telecast of a car racing championship and feels like a 'just another romantic tale of the Yash Raj banner...
... untill you actually watch it!
I recently experienced it. I was absolutely not interested in watching yet another boring romantic movie. And as the names began appearing on the screen with the car rushing all around I became even more sure that I have come to the wrong hall.
The movie begins with a terrible looking Rani Mukharji, who was literally bloating on the screen, giving no space to our poor Saif! Looked like the dresses were chosen considering which would make her look the worst! Anyway... the story does move on, in a typical romeo-juliet style, with recycled dialogues from tried and tested movies.
So, I was saying that the story moved on... and on... and on... and on... God! even after the BiG car accident the intervel didn't arrive!
The break surely didn't arrive but the story began turning interesting. It was actually not really about some car racing champ, but normal human beings, their mental make up, their psychological, emotional difficulties and how they face them. I realised that a part of it was inspired from my all time favourite ""Life is beautiful, but the concept has been beautifully adapted in the movie's circumstances.
How a simple habit like living for the moment and not thinking about the future can land you up into so much trouble...The way the helplessness and the tragedy of the family has been screenplayed was touching. (Surely if it can make a stoneheart like me blink a tear).
No over dramatic emotional drama... simply how life turns its way... and how one has to cope up with the circumstances, emotionally and physically.
Overall a simple but good story with a good treatment.
>And yes, I fogot... the intervel did arrive...but when the story was just about turning interesting!
