With the onset of the new serial on Star One, Tony and Deeya’s Anu Ki Hogayi Wah Bhai Wah, Actor Sanjeev Mehra ki bhi wah bhai wah ho gayi!

An elaborate wedding set was prepared for Anu’s reel life’s wedding in the serial. Sanjeev Mehra ( Sada Suri ji from Left Right Left) fell in love with the set instantly and booked it for his real life wedding which was on December 9!

This is how it happened…

The unit was shooting for a wedding sequence at Chitrarth Studio hall, on the beautiful set built at Powai for the sequence. While the reel wedding was going on, Sanjeev, overwhelming with the joy of his own BIG DAY that was coming, got a bright idea! He immediately rushed to the producers to ask if he could have his own wedding, on the sets. Tony and Deeya happily gave him his Wedding Gift, the beautiful set!

Sanjeev was dating an Australian girl Rita Weisse, whom he had met two months ago on the sets of Left Right Left . Rita was completely obsessed with Indian weddings and Sanjeev wanted to make it really special for her.

Their love came to a happy beginning… as they got married at the sets of the serial. Wah bhai wah!

So, after the crew shot for three days at the sets they happily gave it to Sanjeev and Ritu for their grand occasion. And a typical Punjabi style wedding followed, complete with all traditional ceremonies including mehendi, baraat and the pheras !

Thankfully, Sanjeev didn’t taste the food on the sets or he would have asked Tony and Deeya for the ‘Cook’ too!
