Another reason to love SRK even more than we already do. Here's a little story on how SRK keeps his word....
Anupama Chopra, wife of the film maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has written a book on SRK. "King of Bollywood — Shah Rukh Khan and the Seductive World of Indian Cinema" will release sometime in September.
Anupama started writing her book 4 years back. When she conceived the idea of writing a book on SRK, she discussed it with him. At that time, SRK felt that he was not important enough for her to take the trouble. We know how humble he can be. Anyways, after Anupama convinced him, SRK promised to not release his autobiography till she released her book.
Now the interesting thing is that SRK has already written half of his autobiography when Anupama discussed the idea of her book with him. He could have released his atutobiography within an year. But true to his word, he waited for Anupama to release her book. And she took 4 years to finish!!!!
Isn't that such gentlemanly behaviour? He even let her read parts of his book so that they would not be writing about the same things. How helpful can one get? My admiration for SRK goes higher and higher. I'm sure his autobiography, whenever he releases it, will be one very successful book. Good Luck to both the writers...
