Hum makada manav hue rahe, ud kar aayab aur tohar tetuwa dabaa deb (Im Spiderman, Ill fly to you and throttle you). No, this is not a dialogue out of Sasur Chale Sasuraal. Its a line from the latest in the installments of Spiderman Series, dubbed in Bhojpuri. Spiderman or Mr. Peter Parker can be heard voicing dialogues in Bhojpuri as well as in Hindi in his third outing at the Indian theatres. Ravi Kissen of Bigg Boss fame has lent his voice to Spidey.

"It took me 15 days in trying to understand Spider-Man completely. I started dubbing after some 14-15 days, I used to read Spider-Man at night and watch the movie in the dubbing studio. It was after this that I internalized Tobey Maguire and Peter Parker. Tobey will be shocked to see himself as a Bihari", says Ravi Kissen.

The last such movie which was dubbed by a main stream Bollywood actor was The Incredibles. Shah Rukh Khan mouthed the lines for the main character. Now isnt that something? Imagine Spidey goingKKKiran..Tum Meri ho.

But a Bhojpuri Spiderman doesnt come cheap. A whopping Rs 3 crore has been spent to dub it; an amount that can fund two Bhojpuri films. And as many as 50 to 60 prints of the Bhojpuri Spiderman have been released.

In the Hindi version, Peter Parkers editor-boss (J K Simmons) is turned into a boorish Punjabi. And the French restaurateur (who is eager to help when Parker wants to propose to his beloved) transforms into a Bengali waiter in the Hindi version.

Spiderman 3 has taken a record breaking opening worldwide and in India too, where it has put our regular Hindi movies to shame. In its first week, Spiderman 3 has collected a whopping 20 crores in India. This beats the first week collections of all major blockbusters of the last year including Fanaa, Krissh and the likes.
