It’s true, till a women doesn’t get married the society doesn’t let her live in peace… but did you know it’s the same with men too? Until a man has a girlfriend, the society doesn’t let him live in peace!

The latest victim of such social pressure is Shahid Kapoor! When he first started dating Kareena Kapoor, some five years ago, the gossip mongers claimed that tKareena looked like Shahid’s mom. Then, bebo turned babe and began shedding kilos from her body like dry leaves. And just when they began looking good and delivering hits together… they broke off!

Kareena did a good thing by catching hold of Chote Nawab and remaining officially paired up in photographs and filmi functions. And poor Shahid became the batter for gossip mills! First, Shahid’s kismet was konnected with his co-star Vidya Balan. And when, after trying a thousand times, the ‘society’ failed to find any affinity in Shahid for Vidya, they spotted him with Sania. Sania who? Arre the Teenage Tennis Sensation… Sania Mirza!!

Yeah so, tennis star Sania is the latest link-up for Shahid. By now the actor must have become an expert in explaining such instances!

“Sania is my favourite tennis player. I have met her and talked to her. I have nothing to hide about my relationship with her. She can be as good a friend as many other actresses in the film industry. What else can I say?”

So is it really such a big deal if the two were spotted dining together on more than one occasions or is the ‘just friends’ tag being overused by Shahid?

God only knows. And his fans will only know when he decides to make a public announcement of his love life. Considering the open declaration that Shahid had made about Kareena in the ‘good old days’, this should not be very difficult.

But all said and done, is it really a crime to stay single in the glam world?
