This one is for all you Punjabi fans of Sallu Bhai. Our dear Salman Khan is all set to play a Sikh ‘paaji’ in his forthcoming movie titled Heroes. This is the same movie that was initially called Mera Bharat Mahaan. The movie is about a road trip that a bunch of students take in India. The purpose of the road trip is to make a documentary about India.

Don’t worry, Salman paaji is not going to play a student again! He’s going to play a Sikh soldier from Punjab. Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Mithun Chakraborty, Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora and Preity Zinta form the rest of the cast of this movie. You will get to see Heroes in the first week of May 2008.

The movie has been shot in Chandigarh, Punjab, Delhi and Ladakh. Salman paaji and his co-stars often went to Buddhist monasteries in Ladakh as they went on long drives on their motor bikes. Imagine what fun it must have been!

Salman Khan will be seen in a completely new avatar in this movie. Not only will you find him sporting a beard, he will also be seen in the traditional turban that the Sikhs wear. Me thinks Salman paaji will make a very good looking and dashing Sikh, what say? A little birdie tells us that Sallu did not shave his beard for a couple of weeks to get the right look. This when he could have easily used a fake beard! What is it with all our stars these days? They are all becoming so professional! Not that silly me is complaining girlies….
