Amitabh Bachchan has decided to use his own territory, the silver screen as his battleground to fight and prove his innocence to Raj Thackeray!
The renowned actor is constantly being bitten by the poisonous comments of the chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Raj Thackeray. Commenting on Bachchan’s support for the Uttar Pradesh campaign, Thackeray has been alleging that the actor has done nothing for Maharashtra, where he resides.
Although most of the times, Mr. Bachchan preferred not to bite back, once out of agony, he did spurt that he doesn’t need a ‘visa’ to live anywhere in India.
Then, last Sunday, Thackeray again poked him by passing ugly comments.
And now, there is another interesting twist in the story. Sarkar Raj.
The movie that stars the entire Bachchan Pariwar sans Jaya Bachchan is an intense political drama. Although it is a sequel of the critically acclaimed film, Sarkar, it takes off from a completely different plane and builds on the use of political power in Mahatrashtra for its welfare. Very interestingly the characters of Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan in the film draw inspiration from Raj and Uddhav Thackeray , respectively!
The promo that was released shortly after Thackeray put the allegations on Bachchan has been very smartly trimmed to show the two characters working towards the welfare of Maharashtra with their political power.
Consider this dialogue, “Mantriji ko bolna ke agar woh Maharashtra ke baare mein sochenge to Maharashtra unke baare mein sochega”, spoken by Abhishek Bachchan in the movie. Does it not look like a Muh tod jawab to the allegations of Thackeray?
So what if the Bachchan family wasn’t the best of defendants as a political entity, they have certainly found out a good way to back answer their ill-wishers through a medium they have gained expertise in!
