I believe that too! Banning won't serve any purpose. But it is not about freedom or choice. It is about health. I think a very very high tax should be imposed on them, just like they did in France. and it has worked. the comsumption has come down! I agree that the addicted ones will still consume it, but the next generation will think twice before taking up such an expensive habit. It will take time, but it will happen.
Also large scale campaigns informing ppl about its negative effects should be carried out across all possible media, and in an interesting way... so that ppl stop buy and think about it.
I've seen an anti-cigarette campaign by O&M which was humorous and at the same time informative.
That will surely work!
