Indian Railways are running into some serious profits these days! And to speed up their cash flow to an even higher level, Railway has decided to go the Bollywood way!
Right from Coolie to Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge to the very recent, Jab We Met, a lot of Indian cinema has had a lot to do with the Indian Railways! And the Railway Ministry has decided to take advantage of this fondness of Indian film makers for rail gadi .
It plans to build a Film Cell exclusively for apunka Bollywood, where the Raj’s, the Simran’s, the Geet’s and the Aditya’s of our favourite movies can meet and part ways more often! The cell will have a vast infrastructure of trains, platforms, stations and the rest. The film makers will no longer have to wait for ages to get permissions for shooting at Railways!
This new venture of railways has benefits in store for us too! Not only will we get to see a few more movies running on the success of the Indian Railways, we will also see the Indian Railway improve all together.
The revenue generated from this venture will ultimately be employed for the improvement of facilities on our trains and platforms of India.
Some of the greatest movies of Indian cinema have been shot at various sections of the Indian Railway System including The Burning Train; Wednesday, based on the 2006 Mumbai train blasts and even Saathiya that built the plot on the daily buzz of local trains in Mumbai.
With the Film Cell, soon to be well in place, you will be witness to many more of such brilliant movies to come.
