If you have been using orkut, just be very careful of who you make friends with. One of my friends recently got into a lot of trouble on orkut. She had become friendly with a guy who claimed to be her old school-mate. After a week or so, she found that her id had gotten circulated amongst many "indecent" males. She kept getting nasty, repulsive and abusive scraps from ppl she did not know at all. Within 2 days she got around 150 scraps of such a kind and she also started getting dirty pictures in her mailbox. Some of these pictures were her own...morphed into something very dirty.
She was very harassed by all this. When she tried to look up tha guy inreal life, she found tht he did not contact her on orkut at all. Whoever was responsible for all this succeeded in making her life hell.
So please be very careful about choosing your friends and as far as possible, do not share your pictures with anyone over the net.
