This is what bechari Saroj Khan is heard saying these days. Saroj, or “Masterji”, as she likes to be called is feeling a little low these days. After being on the telly for so long, she is being taken off air!

Nach Le Ve – With Saroj Khan got a great start because it was the only show of its kind. Many people actually tried to learn some dancing steps by watching the show. Many TV and Bollywood celebrities were also seen making appearances on the show. But neither her moves, nor her celebrity students have been of much help to Saroj Khan. NDTV Imagine has decided to scrap the show because of dismal TRPs.

This is really sad because “Nach Le Ve” was a really good show! In times where singing and dance shows fill up all the telly time we have, this show was different. This was one show that the audience could be a part of, by dancing along with Saroj every day. This was not like other reality shows where the audience is only supposed to spend money on SMSes or phone calls for voting. Nor was it one of those cheap mindless comedy shows that even the news channels cannot seem to get tired of!

Apparently the channel tried to find someone else to replace Saroj Khan in the show, but they could not find anyone suitable and thus had to take this decision. Since the contract with Saroj ends n August 15, you can probably expect a month’s episodes before the show is taken off the air. After that, it’s back to celebrity dance contests and a big dose of singing talent hunts!
