No Men, Amen! (Part I)

BACHELORETTE.jpg

Everyone talks of Bachelors Party for the guys. It's the prty thrown to celebrate the bachelorhood (or the last day of bachelorhood)of a guy about to get married. Wonder why nobody in India talks about Bachelorette Parties? Don't women who are about to give up the single status of life, deserve to get some sympathy?

Men get married and life changes for the better for them. They get a partner who will always be there for them. She will clean the huse, cook the food, provide sex, take care of family, bear kids and nuture them etc. She will also usually serve as a punching bag for whenever the husband is angry or in a bad mood. She will bear many insults and will often behave like an absolute doormat. So what exactly do the guys grumble about? Most men are lucky they get married at all. They don't really deserve these loving and doting wives!

Now, coming to women, when they get married they have to almost stop living. Women get married and have to give up their beloved home and family. They are expected to move into a new house with new people. They have to bear the tantrums of all their in laws and their usually boorish and silly husbands. They have to do all the housework and manage a career along with it. And this still is not enough. They have to function as a doormat and a punching bad that everyone in the "sasural" can punch as and when required. The job of a wif is an absolutely thankless one and comes without any perks or increments. The only increment you can expect will be in your responsibilities and duties.

So who do you think should be sad about getting married? Who should be celebrating the last day of bachelorhood as the last day of independence?

If you agree that "bachelorette Partes" make more sense than "Bachelor Parties", then do visit this blog again to find out how can you arrage a party for your friend/coworker/cousin/sister etc who is about to get married. Bachelorette Party idea

The last fling, the last hoorah, the last night of freedom! Whatever you choose to call the bachelorette party, make sure it's a doozy! You want your pal to have a great time. Keep in mind that she's about to commit herself to one man for the rest of her life. For goodness sake, make sure she gets to be surrounded with some hunky men on her last night as a single lady. Instead of going to a dirty strip club, arrange to have a stripper (or strippers) come to your living room or hotel room. If you hire your own personal stripper(s) you won't have to share them with an entire night club full of ladies and the future bride will get all of the attention that she deserves. In addition, if you order your own stripper, you can customize him. You have the luxury of specifying what you would like your man meat to look like and you may even get the opportunity to specify what type of costume you would like him to wear (police man, fireman, etc.). Go ahead and be selfish and get your very own stripper...your friend has earned it.
