After a lot of tamasha and nautanki, the Star Plus people announced results of their hit dance show, ‘Nach Baliye’. Jodi No. 7, Aamir and Sanjeeda won the show.

There were performances after performances that lasted till half an hour past mid-night. It was really touching to watch the two jodis wait for the results with bated breath. After lost of performances and an equal number of breaks, the results were announced by none other than Salman Khan.

Sanjeeda, the famous Nimmo stars in the popular TV show Qayamat. Sanjeeda is not only pretty but is also a natural dancer. On the other hand, Aamir was new to dance. But he was quick to learn. Week after week, the duo improved as a jodi and gave many memorable performances.

While it was a very joyous culmination to the journey for Aamir and Sanjeeda, it was a sad occasion for the runner up jodi, Rakhi and Abhishek. Rakhi, as everyone knows, is a pro at dancing. And she found great support and partnership in her boyfriend Abhishek. Together both gave mind blowing performances every week.

What we salute Rakhi and Abhishek for, is their honesty. It was refreshing to see some honest reactions for the first time in the history of reality TV. While we are used to watching diplomacy at it’s best in these shows, Rakhi and Abhishek walked out of the show after the result was announced. We salute this honesty! And we salute Rakhi-abhishek for their dancing prowess as well.

But at the same time, it would not be fair to steal away the thunder from Aamir and Sanjeeda. The two have won the competition, fair and square. It's not their fault that the audience loved them more than the other jodi! So congratulations to you, Jodi No 7.

Even though we salute Rakhi and Abhishek for their honest reaction, we would have appreciated it much more if they could have displayed some sportsman spirit. But each to his/her own, as they say!
