Our forefathers were healthier than us in every sense of the word. They engaged in hard physical labor and yet were able to live long, without the support of medicines and supplements. Wouldnt they get a shock if they were to see us today, reliant on insulin injections, vitamin supplements, and munching fast food as if theres no tomorrow!
With the kind of stressors that everyone faces today, coupled with unhealthy diets, people today cannot be healthy by default. We need to take care and be proactive about living healthy lives. So here are a few mantras that every woman needs to know to be able to live healthy and long:
Get dental check ups done every 6 months or so.
Regulate your Calcium intake and be aware of Osteoporosis.
Get eye check ups done every 6 months or so.
Always keep your BP under control.
Know your ideal weight and ideal BMR, and try to stick to the ideal.
Get a PAP Smear test done at least once a year.
After the age of 40, get a mammogram done every 6 months or so.
After the age of 40, get a cardiac check up done annually.
Always keep glucose/blood sugar levels under control.
Consume healthy and nutritious diets.
Regular exercise is important as we all have read/heard umpteen times.
Give up smoking and drinking.
