Perhaps Mallika should be rechristened as Moolah Sherawat! After all isn’t she raking it all in? The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Ms. Sherawat has signed an ad campaign for a whopping Rs. 3.5 crore.
The ad is to be directed by none other than the acclaimed director ‘Parineeta’ Pradeep Sarkar. The ad campaign will include print and video ads for cassettes and CDs. The jingle for the ad will be written by Gulzar. With such luminaries putting their collective talent in this ad, it would probably be one of the most awaited Indian ads ever.
With this ad, Mallika has overtaken her peers such as Kareena and Katrina who are also known for charging quite a hefty amount for endorsing products. It is not a secret that Mallika had charged Rs. 1.5 crore for a small stint in Himesh Reshamaiya’s first movie as a hero – Aap Ka Suroor. This young lady is also known to be making real progress in Hollywood. Her role in The Myth got her noticed and she got a role in a Hollywood thriller Unveiled. Reportedly, Madam Sherawat is also going to be seen in a Jesus Christ movie!
