There was a time when every TV star aspired to make a foray into films. They still do, actually. And it’s a really good thing, warna how would we have had our Shahrukh Khan, the King of Bollywood? But these days, a reverse trend is also being seen. Every Bollywood celeb wants a piece of the TV pie too.

Amitabh did it in KBC. SRK did it even better! Suniel Shetty did well too in his fitness-related show. Then there were people like Madhavan, Anupam Kher, Manisha Koirala, and others who were even more forgettable. A couple of celebs from Bollywood also tried their hand at judging reality shows like Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Lara Dutta, Farah Khan etc.

But now, there’s a new entry into this gang of “Bollywood-to-Telly” stars. It’s none other than the handsome Salman Khan. Salman Khan will be seen hosting a reality show on Sony TV almost at the same time as the new Star show Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas…. goes on air. Now, this show is touted as being completely new and different. Nobody knows what the format will be like. But Sallu Bhai is gonna take home a neat Rs. 89 crore.

As Sony TV and Star Plus fight it out for the TRP’s, Zee TV doesn’t seem to be content with letting go of the TRP’s either. So Zee is desperately trying to get the senior Mr. Bachchan to host a reality show for them…at the same time as the other two shows go on air. So, if all goes as they plan, viewers will have Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan on the menu very soon. It will be really interesting to see who wins this race.
