Katrina practices her slapping

Did you guys know that Katrina slaps Akshay Kumar in a scene in their new movie, Welcome?

The inside story is that when Kat delivered the slap, it did not appear quite convincing. so the director asked for a retake. Again, not convincing enough. So miffed with all the reshooting of the scene, Akki shouted at her and screamed "C'mon slap me hard!" And apni bechari Kat got all carried away, and boom! She actually slapped Akshay hard in the face. Result: pin drop silence on the set and everyone was just stunned. All Kat could manage was profuse apologies. But Akki is so cool, he just took it in his stride.

And Katrina is seen practising her slapping skills these days. Bole to, slapping without actually slapping. ;-)

Kat is one lucky and happy woman. 2007 has seen her deliver 3 great movies: Namaste London, Apne and Partner. And before the year is up, she will probably have delivered another hit, Welcome. Looks like Lady Luck has been smiling on this 'born and brought up in London' gal. Remember the times when the press was all over her with "She's another bimbo", "She can't act", "Just hear her accent"...and so on! Kat has surely come a long way from back then. Way to go, gal!!!
