How Expensive a Medical Goof-Up Can Be?

Recently, a British national was dealt a tragic, yet comic deal by life. John Brandrick, 62 was not supposed to live long enough to see this day. Two years back he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He was told that he had one more year to live, at the very best.

So, in true Make the most of what you have way, John decided to enjoy whatever little of his life remained. He started by giving away or selling off his possessions. Paying off his mortgage loan was not important anymore, so it went off the list. All he wanted to do was Enjoy. So out he went, dining and wining! All his savings were spent away on holidaying, and the works

After this untamed spending spree that lasted around an year, John was told that he had nothing but slight inflammation of the pancreas. And this certainly was not life threatening in any way! All poor John is left with is the clothes that he intended to be buried in!!!

Of course John is seeking compensation for his losses. And if denied monetary compensation, he intends to sue the hospital. He may have to consider selling his house though. This is what the medical goof up cost poor John
