We all knew that television is hot n happening, what with both the old and the current superstar having played hosts on the game quiz show “KBC”. And now television pays more than even the big screen. If rumors are to be believed then the original stud and the superstar of today - Akshay Kumar has been signed to play the official host for the Indian version of the hit show “Fear Factor” and guess what is he being paid to play the host – A whopping Rs. 1.5 crore per episode. Isn’t that mind boggling?

We believe that Akshay, who is well known for having done death defying stunts and hair-raising actions sequences, would be the ideal choice to play the host for “Fear Factor”. For who better than Akshay to be able to understand the nuances required to host this show and be able to put the participants at complete ease? Akshay is not new to television as he has played the host of a martial arts show for National Geographic.

But the moot point that begets questioning is “Is Akshay now in a league of his own?” Has he dethroned the current superstar – SRK? And finally, is Television hotter and better paying than the bigger screen?
