Choreographer turned director, Remo D’Souza is gearing up for his next, which is based on the life of a folk dancer.
He is planning to get his next commercial film on the lifespan of a folk dancer and the artistic production of folk dance.
And for the same, he is appearing to cast actress Deepika Padukone. Remo thinks that Deepika’s dancing skills are immaculate. “I throw the script ready and the project is waiting to go on floors. I would love to cast Deepika in the lead character. She is an awesome dancer and one of my favorites,” revealed Remo.
We wonder if Deepika too will pass on her nod for the movie or not.
Remo and Deepika have earlier worked in concert in the actress’s first music video and latterly, the choreographer also won the inaugural National Award of his career for ‘Deewani Mastani’, from the movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’, featuring an exquisite looking Deepika Padukone as Mastani.
We would love to find out the two collaborate again.
Talking about their relation, Remo says, “Few people are aware that I was the one who choreographed her first music video before she entered the industry. She was making, ad films and I fathered her to execute a video with Himesh Reshamiya (Aap Ka Surroor). We haven’t played together since (all the way till ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and later, ‘Bajirao Mastani’) and her talent has just grown.”
