Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is currently busy with the promotion of her much talked movie Padmavati. Which is all set to hit theatres on December 1.
These days, Deepika is riding high on love and appreciation for her ‘Padmavati’ trailer.
The star, who had many fans in awe of her ethereal avatar in the film, took time out to fulfil her social duties. On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Deepika and members of her foundation, headed to Davangere, Karnataka to visit a health care centre and spread awareness on mental health.
As per the report, the actress met and interacted with a few doctors and members working at the centre to help people battling depression.
In a recent interview, Deepika opened up about her own struggle with depression, stating that she feared she may have a relapse. The star was quoted saying, “I don't think I can say that I'm completely over it (depression). There is always a fear at the back of my mind that I might have a relapse because it has been such a bad experience for me.”
A source also stated that while shooting a self-immolation scene – a ritual suicide of her character – reminded her of the dark time when she was dealing with depression.
However, being a professional, Deepika reportedly carried out the whole scene, but not without it allegedly leaving an impact on her psyche.
