Choorma is a sweet from the royal land of Rajasthan. It is extremely tasty as well as very easy to make. Because the calorie requirement of the body increases in winters, many people gorge on delicious Choorma in the winter months. Here's the recipe...Won't take you more than 15-20 minutes.
Choorma Laddu Recipe
Ingredients:
Atta (whole wheat flour): 1 cup.
Powdered Sugar: 3/4 cup.
Ghee: 2 tbsp.
Method:
- Start by making a dough with the atta.
- Now, prepare thick chapatis from this dough. If you don't know how to make a chapati, you may use a tortilla maker coz chapati is just the Indian tortilla.
- Now grind the chapatis to a powder in the grinder.
- Take a pan and heat the ghee in it. Now add the chapati powder to this pan. Stir for a minute or two. The powder should become browner due to the ghee. If it seems too dry, add a little more ghee.
- Now add the powdered sugar and turn ff the gas after stirring for 2-3 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Then make the laddus (balls) and keep aside.
- Your choorma laddu is ready.
- Choorma can be stored in a sealed container for a week to ten days. No need to referigerate.
